Wow, your tank looks great. How much did your MH's run you?? I only have 10g , its all I can afford right now.......but wow, your only 15, I am 17, and I am just starting to really get into this hobby, love the tank though! I really wish I had the money right now to get a 75g going, but that is already in progress, I have to get the tank and the canopy made first. I built the stand, just have not found time to get to the canopy. Very nice tank!!

Reefer44:
George Schwab (Geofloors on WAMAS/CMAS/--) made one for me, $100 (Ca reactor that is). He also made Brooklyn Johnny's Neilson reactor, and he might have made John's Ca reactor too. He charges $100 and the materials he uses cost him $75-80. You should also try to get up to see his set up in Baltimore, he has 400-500 SPS in his basement. His frags are cheep for what you get.

Wow Brad your tank is excellent! It was great having you and your father by, and you're welcome anytime when you want some more freebies. I strongly second what Leishman said about acquiring a Kalk reactor from George if you like. You could get yourself hooked up with automatic topoff and everything for the reactor for under $150. If you are interested in this let me know, as it is a cheaper alternative to a calcium reactor and will give you the benefits of kalkwasser combined with not having to manually add topoff water or B-ionic. In a lightily stocked sps tank like yours the kalk reactor will go a long way and cut back on your B-ionic additions.
Anyway, this hobby is an art, and some people are in it for years and years and never design a tank as nice as yours. You definately have "the touch", and in ten or so years when you're my age you'll be even more dangerous with experience and a career to fund your hobby. I got into the hobby in middle school and at your age my tank didn't compare to yours now. You're a good kid... some words of advice... listen to your parents, stay away from drugs and alcohol, and don't ever get into a long term relationship with someone who doesn't support you being in this hobby... with that said never give your tort more attention than your girlfriend.:D
Keep working hard and following your passion... you reminded me of me when was your age... sucking in saltwater knowledge like a true reef geek... :D

that sounds like a good plan...the kalk reactor that is..............It will be about 3 weeks before i get the money (i owe my dad 140 for the two XM's cause durring our short power outage my bulbs blew up) but that sounds like in the end it will save money from buying the B-Ionic.
Thanks again for all the support..I learned alot on this forum

Brad it's nearly impossible to tell, although I'd rule out gemmifera and lean towards robusta, but it's aweful hairy. It looks like it will turn into a staghorn growth pattern though. I did not get the piece that broke off of that one though as you asked in your PM, mine was an "echinata". Let us know how things progress...
