That serpent star is huge!
Nice looking tank.

Thanks! He seems very happy. I give him a chunk of shrimp, scallop or other treat when I feed my corals. He seems to enjoy that!
His body is about the size of a quarter. His legs are 7-8 inches long each!

jpc763, is your green polyp toadstool doing any better ???
No. I used a soft toothbrush to scrub it and moved it to another location, but I am pretty sure it is dead. It is not "melting" however, but it is smaller.
Thanks for asking.

So here is a picture of "Randy" my son's Rainfords goby. After QT we added him to the DT on Feb 23. He was gone Feb 24.

Then on March 1 after the lights went out he showed up again!

He is very reclusive.

Great tank. Any pics of the refugium ?
OK, so the sump is a converted wet/dry (by previous owner) so it is a 2 chamber.
Fuge side with overflow pouring in the top. I have fuge mud in there some LR rubble and Chaeto. Lots of critters in there, sponges, stars, pods and worms.

It overflows into the Sump side (I got to clean that return tube!
). My protein skimmer is in there and a bag of carbon. There is also a grounding probe in there.

Here is the skimmer... AquaC Urchin.

Next to that is my overflow reservoir. I use an ATO by JBJ. Highly recommended.

Here is a "fullish" shot.

And finally my DIY return with ball valve to adjust flow.

Did you glue your corals to your live rock? If so what type of glue did you use?
I use underwater epoxy. It is a 2 part paste that you mix together and then stick it between rocks or a rock and a coral plug.

I noticed you have been having a problem with your firefish gobies. In a tank of that size you should have more than one. Atleast a pair but if you want to do more get more than 3 or 2 will pair up and get rid of one. Just a thought since it seems you were trying to keep one for your son... Try a pair I bet you will have better luck.

Thanks! Will do if I need to add. My son now has Spot the Hawkfish so he is happy. If I need to do more stocking in the future, I will do a pair.
