My 75 Reef

Here is my 75 Reef tank, I made the stand and canopy, under the tank is a 30 gallon sump, aquac skimmer, chaeto, live rock pieces, and live sand. My lights are an Icecap 660, running 4 - 4ft. t5 and an Icecap 430 running 2- 4ft. t5. There are 12 fish all together, 100 nas. snails, a few hermits, coral banded shrimp, cleaner shrimp, and a brittle star. I have numerous corals, zoo's, ricordia, and a sebae anenome. Nice tank, but neither of the tangs should be in there. Even if they are small, it's a stressful environment and you'll likely end up with ich or HLLE on one (the hippo) and possibly even both. My advice is to move them into a bigger tank or give them to someone else who has a bigger tank.

The tang police are at it again, the tangs are doing very well and have been doing well for a long time, the sailfin came from my 29 gallon biocube, where he lived and did great for a little over a year, the blue hippo has been in the 75 for a while now also and has had no problems. When they both get to large for the 75 I will either upgrade or trade them in for smaller ones. Thanks for the advise though, but contrary to what you believe it is possible to keep a perfectly healthy tang in a well kept reef aquarium and not just in the ocean.

I dont let them bother me, I know what I am doing and take very good care of my tank and all of its livestock. They are just jealous.

hey phils dont worry about them haters i have had a hippo and a sailfin for almost 3 years in a 75 and there doing great.just ask them how many times a tang told them they didnt like being in a 75 gallon hahaha

Yeah, I dont let them bother me at all, besides that if Monk was that much of a Tang Master he surely would have noticed that there is a Kole Tang in my tank also. Thanks for all the great comments.
