Why wont you work at a LFS? You can get first dibs on any cool stuff and get some kind of % off because you work there.

Those sound like good places. Might want to stray away from McDonalds though. I used to work at a Boston Market which is owned by Mickey D's and it was filthy. Makes you not want to eat fast food. Good luck though!
Which one of your tanks was the one that was leaking? The 55 or 75?

Niiiiice. Im jealous. Im trying to convince my dad that he wants a 55 gallon :D Are you going to use the 55 for anything, or just a temporary tank?

its probably just going to be a temporary tank. i cant imagine keeping anything in my 75 that id need a 55 gallon QT for. i have a couple smaller tanks that i want to do, such as horses and a mantis tank, so im sure it will come in handy for curing LR or something. i have enough tanks and spare equipment in my basement to start a small LFS, so its really just a matter of time & getting my hands on the livestock.
believe me, your dad would LOVE a 55... or maybe a 150?!

Heres an idea... 2 30 gallon tanks, linked to the same sump which would be the 55. A masterpiece!!

And my dad said "if" he did get something, he doesnt want it to be "too big." He doesnt know theres never something like too big. My 24 is gettin there, as far as filled up. Cant wait to upgrade sooner or later.

It would be cheaper and easier to just drill them all and have them all go to the same sump and have one big return.

i dont know how to drill glass, and dont wanna pay for it. my dad might be able to do it though. ill ask him. since theyre smaller, cheaper tanks, i wouldnt be too worried about them breaking.

I swear brilliance only comes to me when Im deprived of sleep haha.
Drilling the tanks shouldnt be too too hard. Just need the right tools, which I have no idea what those are. The one large return idea is good, wouldnt you need like 3 different exits from the return going to the actual tanks?
