i agree nice tank and for thie size i dont know anything about moorish idols.. but i know that there are only few ppl that people on this forum know that have kept them successfully but is he feeding?
but make sure you perameters are almost perfect because they wont tolerate the hight concentrates in the water
Thanks for the comments. I know a lot about moorish idols. I have done a lot of research on this particular fish. The reason some people have had success in large systems is due to the fact that they have so much LR for the MI to feed on. I have it feeding on fresh claims and mussels right now. Soon I will be introducing other items that will help with providing an ideal diet for this fish.
I do believe that these fish just dont survive long in captivity regardless of size of tank. I am working on some different feeding habits that might preserve the life of moorish idols in captivity. I will document my findings and hope to have success.
This is too neat of a fish to not be able to survive captivity.
