I would personally find a way to get the light closer to the tank, a few of those zoas are REALLY stretching for the light. Nice mix of zoas and tank though.

everyone has been telling me to keep them mid to low. so i figured that they do not need so much light. I am adjusting it right now..

Nice start. Can't wait to see the whole tank covered with zoas. It is a tall tank, maybe lower the light a few inches every week for a month and see how they all respond. Unless you have fish that jump maybe remove the eggcrate. It will diffuse the light.

Since there's not much lateral swimming area relatively, I'd go for gobies since they don't require as much swimming space and perch alot more than they generally swim. its a 150watt fixture..the tank is roughly 20.5 inches tall..i brought the light down as close as i could.

no fish in the tank yet..idk what to put in. I read someones post of how they found their viper clamp on light fixture floating in their tank. Since I read that thread, i kept the eggcrate on at all times..what do you think?

never heard that about the Vipers but if somight be best to keep it there, just bring the light down closer. Is it 70 or 150?
If you keep the fish load low you will have less trouble filling and growing healthy zoas. Maybe a couple small gobies and if you keep the egg crate of a couple fire fish.

I only wanted like tops 3 fish in here. I have a 150 in the process of putting up, so the number of fish in here do not bother me..I was going to make it a frag tank later down the line..
any fish that you suggest?
