I recently put a deposit down on what will be my second bengal cat, shes 9 wks old now, and i can take her home at 12 wks. I have a 9 mth old male bengal already, and hes everything i could of hoped for....and then more. Enough talk heres pics:
9 wks

4 wks

3 wks

Heres my boy bengal at 7 mths old, and hes already leash trained, so we get our nightly walks in together. Hes also an oddball in that bengals dont usualy have huge bushy long tails like his, it looks just like a racoon tail haha.

How are they behavior-wise? I looked into them a little and heard a lot of horror stories but not really too much info and I'd rather hear it from someone with personal experience. I know they are spendy little kitties but just beautiful. Not that my cat would allow an addition, she's very grouchy.

I have had a Bengal before, very playful. I am doing some volunteer work with some bigger cats now, from Servals to Mountain Lions. Its very exciting :cheer:

Awesome cats! After falling in love with the one my friend has, a Bengal is gonna be my first purchase, after I move!

A "pet grade" bengal cat should cost anywhere between $600 - $1,200.
That is what they go for in my area anyway...

Yeah my male cost me $400 after wheel and dealing haha, and the kitten female cost me $700 after more wheel and dealing. She is breeder grade also but i managed to get her really cheap for her quality. Her parents were champions show cats!
For those unfamiliar, bengals are a hybrid breed of a domestic cat, most of the times some high quality cat like an egyptian mau; and breed to an asian leapord. They are breed over several generations to keep the leapord looks and wild char. while having a tamed non-hostile house cat. Bengals are extremley intelligent compared to normal house cats, and also display many char of dogs, ie love water, leash trainable, come when u call their name, simple commands. The coats on bengals are the softest of any cat ive ever felt, and to top that off, shedding is only minimal.
Speaking of just my bengals personality cause i know someone said they heard bad things. Mine acts like a hyperactive child haha. Bipolar would probably be a better description, runs around the house like a madman chasing flys, then will come and flop in ur lap and insist to be petted. Everymorning my bath door flys open and he tries to get in the shower with me. Food around him is almost impossible, he eats like a rabid mountain lion thats been starving for weeks, he can pick the child locks on all the pantry cabinets if he so chooses, special shock mats keep him out for now. Hes almost got opening doors by their handles down now also, if he grows another inch im doomed.

I have a bengal mix, he is the CRAZIEST cat ever! He's so much fun! He's a marble patterned kitty. He loves going for walks on his harness, he is into everything, he gives kisses on command, he's awesome!
