My biggest pet peeve on electrical stuff for aquariums

She doesn't like the lights shining in the room, noise, and space it takes up. I refused to keep it against the wall. The same way I feel about her piano in regards to space, but unfortunately we still have it in the living room.... I wasn't complaining in my post, I like having it in the basement now. I can do what ever I want and I hear no complaints other than she wants to turn on the dehumidifier every once in a while.

i found a 1 ft. cord with a couple of back-to-back receptacles for plugging in my timers, so my 2 timers only take up one outlet on the power strip without blocking any others

If you look around a little bit, you can find basic 6 outlet power strips with wider spacing at the hdwr store or computer shops...
Outlets are set "perpendicular" to each other (rather than in a row) for the use of multiple transformer sized plug-ins...works great with most timers..$10-$12..

I needed 2 timers for my tank.... so I ordered 2 inwall timers by Lev%5ron. I have them wired to 2 individual 110 outlets.
The top plug is connected to the timer and the bottom plug is hot all the time.
This is my solution to the timer problem.
If you need more info email me at tictoc777@aol.com or do a search for inwall timers....not much to choose from.......
Looks like there are plenty of work-arounds on this post.
