My Bio Cube 14g

I just got my MH lights and it is a great improvement on the tank. Its amazing how it brings out everything and all thats in there is LR and Sand yet it looks totally different. I will take some new pics tomorrow night and let everyone see. And what about the clam and BTA will that be possible in here?

I just test the water and here are my levels.
PH - 8.2
Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 20 still

Cal - 360
dKH - 12
Phosphate - 0
How do those levels look?
My refractometer finally got here so I will test that later after I get it from office.
Here is a pic with the new lights.

The tank had a major algae growth, I added two turbos today and they are loving the glass right now. I also added a bag of chemipure since I can not get my nitrates down hopefully this will help things look better. Any other advice is welcomed.

WOW the turbos just about did the job over night tank looks back to normal. When I woke up this morning the lights were still out and so I was looking over the tank and on the bottom of the tank hanging out from a rock I discovered a bristle worm. Ive read they can be good or bad. How do I know which I am dealing with?

Wow, I forsee this being one awesome tank. As suggested by HaloStalker take it slow. I think this is going to be one of those tanks that is the envy of everyone. If you are having problems getting chaeto PM me and I can send you a baggie full if you pay shipping. Get a submersible white LED lights off of the a uc tion site to stick down in it to provide light and growth.

i did my weekly water change today and when I tested I finally got my nitrates down they are at 2.5 so almost all gone. My Cal is still at 380 is that low or ok? and someone let me know about that worm I just saw him before I got in bed and have a couple more pics if needed. I also changed the rock work so I will put the new pics up tomorrow night.

Yay! Your nitrates are coming down!~

Calcium is not that low... I always try to keep mine between 350-450. Anything below 350 and I worry... anything above 450, I would probably panic.
Mine stays around 400-420.
Can't help you out on the worm because I've never seen one. The 29 is in my office and I'm never there at night to see what "freaks come out at night".

With this new 14 I've set up, I probably still won't know what goes on at night because I have my lights scheduled to go off when I go to bed, and since this tank is in my living room and not my bedroom, I won't be so inclined to be looking around a dark tank.
But then again, I don't have my lights scheduled to come on until noon, so before I go to work, I may take a peek from time to time....
and... right now is "tomorrow night".... so how about those pics, huh?

new pics

any idea what these are i was told green metalic mushrooms I got them free....

this came out of one of the rocks with mushrooms

as well as this what is it??

Oooooh! I loooooove that first mushroom rock!!
Niiice!
Hmmm... not sure what the actual name of the 2nd mushroom is?

The star you have is an asterina star, I believe... and the other is a little feather duster.

Did I already say that I really love that first mushroom rock???

ok folks i need some info on those worms. My lights went out for the night and I either now have 2 or the on I have is a long one, someone please let me know something before I add any other live stock please...

Been a couple weeks since I've posted but last week I moved which went ok did not lose anything in the tank. Yesterday I added 2 clownfish and a peperment shrimp. What is the best thing to feed them? I will probably add a six line in a few weeks a couple more shrimp and a liitle to the cuc. Along with more coarls and maybe a lta. I will post pics tomorrow or tuesday of the clowns.

I have a stock question. I have now 2 turbos and about 8 hermits. What should I add to that? I also have 1 pep. shrimp going to add 1 more along with a cleaner shrimp. I have my 2 clowns and want to add a six line and cardinal. Will this be ok if not give me some suggestions please. I really want the six line and the wife really wants the cardinal.

Referring to the pictures in order: blue mushrooms, coralimorph or hairy mushrooms, asterina star, feather duster. All are beneficial. Nice tank 2

4 fish is a bit too much. Maybe 3 fish and a goby of some sort, but what you listed is a no go in my book. Cardinals prefer groups so I would get the six line.

ok give me some help with feeding my clowns will not eat. I have fed oraglow, frozen shrimp, formula 2 flakes and they will not touch it. The shrimp molted the night I put it in there and hid all day sunday but now comes out and is always in full view looking for something to eat so he is doing fine, as well as everything else. So please give me some help on some of these questions. Thanks
