Hi guys,
I am new around here. I have had an 80 gallon tank for approximately 8 months. My current stock is:
3 chromis
1 six line wrasse
2 clowns
1 diamond goby
1 fromia star
I lost a blue hippo today. Are there any tangs hardier than the blue hippo?
Thanks!

I have had no luck with my three tangs. My blue hippo got ick and spread it to everyone then died. Caring is sharing! My yellow R.I.P. My powder blue deceased!
Hopefully you will find a good one and have them live longer. Good luck.

Thanks for the help. I don't have a protein skimmer yet. I am seeing build up on the water surface. Would the protein skimmer remove all of that waste?

Yeah I have a QT tank. The Powder was in it. Died about 24hrs. after coming home. I have just found these fish to be stressed easily. The LFS people have told me that they usually see problems with them because they are more pron to ick due to being so easily stressed. They even made sure to sell me the healthier one that they had. My copperband which I was QTing together is still doing great. So my water wasn't an issue. They are beautiful fish. I just haven't found the right one yet! I will probably try again sometime.
I will check out the link. Thanks!

Protein skimmers will be a big help. I just got mine a week ago and am loving it. But it is a little noisy! I get so excited to dump all the junk is collects. Very cool to watch!
