For the last week my bta has been hiding little doting the day after I feed him but at night he stretching his foot out as far as possible like he is reaching for light with tips pulled in I have 4 65watt! 50/50 t5 lights 9hr a day is this enough light all peramiters are good idle if he is dieing ill post pic of him tonight

Don't know brand 55g. Its little more than 4watts per gallon

Well that doesn't really tell me much....BUT watts per gallon is not what matters
I'm gonna take a wild stab at this and say you don;t have enough light

I'm thinking your light system is actually PC not T5. They don't make 4ft bulbs in 65w for a 55g. I'm with Meow in thinking it's not strong enough to penetrate to the bottom to keep the little guy alive for too long.

Im sorry I just looked there 54watts the bta is about 8 inches from the light. I have taken the light to 3take diff lfs and all have said it can support an anemone. I don't think the are lying if they where they would say its no good to get me to but a new light. So I have total 216 watts. Every thing I read said need 3 to 4take ways per gallon I know I said wpg does not matter I have a couple pieces of sps on bottom of tank that are doing very well so if light can get to them about 15inches down the anemone should ne getting enough light. I have another post on here about one of my damsels hosting it could he be a problem? I only see him in there at night when he was doing ok
