My butt hurts...

I've been riding my bike to work the last two days and it really sucks. I have a 30-lb backpack on and a bike seat that feels like I'm riding a broom stick. I went and got a bigger seat last night but it's still awful. I may take a beach towel and duct tape it to the seat... or salvage parts from a wingback chair... anything. Do you guys know what I'm talking about?

You have to get used to it. Maybe not ride a few days to give your rump a rest, nothing is really going to help until your rump toughens up a bit. It is just like the soreness you get when you go horseback riding..it takes about a week to adjust.

Just because your boyfriend checks your account here does not mean you should post a cover story for your man on man cheating.

I TOTALLY know the feeling. I take a spinning class (saying that loosely) and my beeeeeehind has never hurt sooooo bad. Annnnd I have a little natural padding.

They have squishy gel seats that can go on top your regular bike seat.
yes...I actually invested in a sqishy gel cover for the spin class bike seat. Sports Authority. Completely worth it.

Sorry man, I just didn't think that was funny at all. I'll have to file this one in the "FAIL" category.

Oh come on! If you take yourself out of the equation and read this thread objectively, it's hilarious!

When I took up mountain biking, it took some getting used to the seat. I bought some padded biker shorts that helped but not alot. I might check into the gel though I haven't biked much this summer due to the heat.

That broom stick must be hindering your sense of humor.

Yes, but probably not as much as your dog grooming supplies.

How about tilting the seat down to you legs support you not your butt.?
I already did that and it helped. I also learned that wearing normal pants makes it easier because they don't stretch as much as basketball pants.
