My camera died

My stupid digital camera is dead. All of my parameters are in check, and it showed no sign of disease. I've had this camera for 6 years. Does anyone know what killed it? What should I replace it with? Not looking to spend a ton.

I have a Panasonic Lumix Tz5 and I love mine....Sometimes they just die a sad sad death.... I can get decent shots even in macro if it's near the glass. Too far away though and the glass distorts the zoom. Awesome camera though
