Sounds delicious. Save me some..

On a serious note, when I used to have a BTA way back when, all my fish would go after the BTAs poop. They all seemed to really like it.

LOL, on my serious note, my clown goes after all its homes poop, the corals', and the anemone's it is probably really good for the fish. I expect it contains ,many nutrients fish need, that are waste for the anemones and corals, and vice versa. Ask thomas, or a marine bio, for more details.
Oh i wish i whish I was a clownfish, clowning all around all day...... it would be a wonderful world, no wife beaters, just husband beaters. I guess i dont wish I was a clownfish after all. LOL

Its a very normal thing for an anemone to eat the waste of the clownfish, that and any scraps of food the clownfish gives it.

What leads you to believe that this is occuring? Maybe it's another activity that just looks like he's eating it... this is really something I've never encountered.

If that question is for me, I have seen him sucking the poop from the anemone as it is coming out.

Sorry I completely screwed up. I misread the title of this thread to be "my clownfish is eating anemone"
Yeah didn't see the "poop" in there....

For some reason I read this whole thread aloud.

Your clownie is a sick freak.
Just kidding, but as it was said earlier, I'm sure it's not bad for him!

Well if it is the clown fish that is eating it then its still fair game. How many times have you seen a fish eat its own excrement? Undigested food from anything is fair game in the wild sea like that. Not a big deal. From the highest on the food chain to the tiniest microscopic animal, all part of the cycle.

Seriously... my DOG eats poop... and most would agree that a dog is smarter than a fish... although sometimes I wonder with mine...
