My First Fish!!!

It seems like you've added 9 fish in all (I guess it would still be 9 if you take the yellow tang back and replace it with a foxface), in roughly a week's time. I know lots of people have said it but you're moving awfully fast. It probably should be noted that you're also adding quite a large bio-load overall. I would think that even 8 fish would be too much for that size tank with perhaps 6 or maybe 7 being the max, though 7 might be pushing it.
There are usually quite a few posts on here where people add too many fish and add them fast like this, then things start going terribly wrong after a week or two. Please just keep this in mind as it seem that you haven't really been taking anyone's advice up to this point (considering you keep adding fish). I don't want this post to be taken the wrong way; I don't mean to flame or anything. I hope your fish all survive and your tank thrives, but things can go wrong if you rush into it and don't take the advice of all the experienced hobbyists here. Best of luck!

My advice would be to really slow down. From the pics. you posted you have corals too. Your water quality is going to be very important. Do regular water changes weekly or even 2 a week so to keep the quality good. Soak your foods in raw garlic (fresh) to help boost immune system of the hippo. Good luck.

The poster is not heeding advice, we told him to slow down, so a week later he adds a royal gramma and a YT

Frankly, I am not bothering with any more advice. Either people care before hand, or they will learn to care at some point.
No point whatsoever in posting anything else...

I agree ... some people will not listen because it's not what they want to hear. Let him learn the hard way then he'll come a-cryin' back why this is happening and so on ...

Unfortunately, I don't really think anyone will help him until he begins to listen to the advice being given. There are WAY too many fish in this tank for such a new tank.

It's amazing how many posts from a different variety of people a person like this gets. Someone who has no regard for the life he is putting in his tank and doesn't take any of the advice. It's almost like he is doing what he is doing to spite those who try to offer sound advice. I've read other posts on the topic of adding fish where people are truly asking for the advice of others in an effort to do it the "right way" and get ignored, or don't get this kind of response, myself included (https://forums.saltwaterfish.com/f/). I just don't understand how the knowledgeable people on this site pick and choose who they help.

you can only say the same things over again so many times. if people are actually active on the board, like LAXplaya is, then you would think they would absorb some of the info given to them. after awhile, you get tired of saying the same thing over and over again.

LAXplaya, you may not like it, you may not care, but these guys on the boards have years of expierence and know what they're talkin' about.
You can take it as constructive critism or just plain critism.
The good thing about constructive critism is you learn something, and hopefully applied it. Otherwise it is just critism. How will you take this?

i know what they have said, so i took back the YT he was too big. but i do feel that what some people say is mostly right but a little extreme. I really appreciate what you people are saying to help me. But what u guys say does not always fly high with my dad despite how much i argue. I told my dad 1 fish per week but he said no and bought 6 fish the first day. And of course the guy at the LFS didn't argue...

Ya, my dad didn't let me take back two tangs when I had three of the same body shape, but I did take back a yt. Supprisingly after we moved the tank both are fine with each other.
