Yea that is something about clownfish that is weird. I have three percs in my 190 gallon and they all huddle up in the corner at the top near my overflow. I dont think cover has anything to do with it because I have about 200# of live rock.

I dont know why my clown doesn't wander either. But I know I also have alot of cover. so we can rule that out. Im thinkin its just how they are. In nature they have there aneneme<sp as there house, and they don't wander to far from it either. There are predators and someone might try to steal there house. Thats my guess.

Yea I have kinda been thinking the same thing about the anemone but I have tried that too and they didnt even look at it.

Mine took three weeks to even get close to the anemone. About four weeks to make it it's home. this was the second anemone. The first my clown ignored so I traded. Now the clown always inside.

I have a 29 gal eclipse and iv had it running since december and now its beautiful. Ive had so many fish die in it i thought i was cursed.
Anyway ive decided to turn it into a reef tank but keep a baby sailfin in for a while since hes so happy in there. I know this isnt my thread, but i just wanted to tell some one

frozen ice a sailfin tang needs alot of swiming room to be happy. and I don't think a 29 gal tank has alot of swiming room.
