My first SPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just recieved some sps frags in a trade. I took some quick pictures before I had to come back to work. I will post better pics tonight when I have some more time.
The first pics are of a frag off the original superman montipora.
The others are of frags from the atlantis pink polyp motipora cap.
There is one more frag I did not get a picture of that I will post tonight.
Oh, and hot883, since you have a MH now, you are first in line when I frag these babies. If you look it up, the original superman frags cost $95 for a 3/4" piece.
The atlantis pink frags cost $65 for a 1" piece.

It will be a while before I frag it. I am not even sure yet what the growth rate is.
But, as I stated in the first post, I am giving hot883 first shot at a frag. I will put you second in line.
It could be several months before I frag it.

By the way, I was informed by ViPeR_930 that I should expect the superman montipora to reach softball size within a year.

awesome. I dont think there was that much demand for monti's in the past but people are starting to see their true colors now and the demand is growing.

Next month I am going to get some acropora. SPS is wayyyyyy more expensive than softies and LPS. It would be real easy to spend thousands getting the SPS I want for my 55 gallon.
I can't imagine how much I will spend when I get my 180+ gallon tank in three years.

I got a new clam about 30 min. ago.
After I finish acclimating him and the halides come on, I will post a pic.

sweet .. hurry and post .. can't wait to see .. also .. how much do sps corals generally cost since their the only corals I'm going to get for my 90 Gallon Semi-Agressive Reef .. their the only corals I can keep with my angel and butterfly and was wondering abou tthe price range

All I know is they are generally more expensive then LPS

If you get really nicely colored stuff, you are looking at about $50 - $110+ for a 3/4" - 1" piece.
You can get stuff for cheaper and much bigger, but I only want really nice pieces so it will be very expensive for me.
I will post a pic of the Derasa Clam in a little while.

love the frags! that is a great looking superman and not a bad price compared to some ive seen online. but i got my 1" piece for $40 ***) lol. although mine wasnt as nicly colored as yours. but it is quickly getting more colorful. But that one is colored really nicely.
and im aboslutly in love with that cap. keep me in mind for frags.

I actually traded a Squamosa Clam for the atlantis, superman, and the other frag. The other frag looks exactly like a Leng Sy cap, but I am not sure if it is from the original.
