My first tank is going really well, all done with the cycle. ready to do some additions. I was thinking all this time that this was my first experience with saltwater fish, but then i remembered. I have long time knowledge with these species. So it was approx. 1989 when I did my first water change, and i hadn't done one since. With a little help from my two older sisters, who were 8 and 11 at the time. We were going to give my mom a surprise for mothers day or her birthday or something like that. Well we decided to do a water change and clean her SW tank for her. Turns out three kids who total age doesnt add up to 30 is not a good idea to be doing water changes. Especially when mom is at work. Some freshwater and suds later, her fish weren't doing to good. Mom, although appreciative of the gesture, was less than pleased with the outcome. Its a wonder how any of us still have skin on our b**ts. Kinda makes me wonder how the heck parents can do it. Guess you just have to roll with the punches, everyday is a mystery. anyways, that is my "first water change" story. anyone else have any funny fish stories.
