yes i put fish in to get the tank established, my lfs told me to use black mollies and convert them to salt water, which they lived for about 2-3 weeks and then died, i then waited another 2 weeks before i added real salt water fish. all my tester reading are good and they were good. no nitrates or nitrites, and all others were good.
i feed my fish brine shrimp, alittle in the morning and a little in the evening before they get the light shut off.
i was told to do a water change every month or so, removing about 25%, so i was going to do it this weekend with the help of you's. how do you do a water change???? just remove it and add fresh water and adjust the salt???? i know i sound really dumb but i have no clue and the fish stores dont care what you buy just as long as your giving them money so they just kept showing me what the buy!!!!!!!!!!
well why are the other things in my tank doing so well and the fish arent?????? i also have live rock, so they told me it was live rock, just a couple of pieces. how do i know if its live????
thank you

since i posted about finding how to do a water change, i read and learned from the previous posting how to do it.
just basically get a bucket and make a salt water
mixture like when i started my fish tank??? and then add my air pump to get oxygen before i add the water in my tank?????????

thank yous for being patient with me, but i am sooo clueless, i realized after reading the posts on here. i always had fresh water tanks.
i have 2 neon blue damsels, 1 chocolate chip star fish, 1 shrimp, 1 urchin, 1 anemonie, and 1 damsel with a stripe going threw him. (or course dont know the names). oh also a hawk fish.
my water temp is 76 degrees, and i have a second nature 3000 filter, also a under ground gravel filter. my ph is 8.0, no nitrates or nitrites.
i also used the medication called greenex, it says that it is invertebrate safe, prevents and controls parasites on fish, also marine ich, white spots, scratching and darting. and the
ingredients are: malachite green, and quinine hydrochloride.
you say that the inverts are in trouble??? it seems that the amenmoie is doing the best in the tank/?????? ehat elsse is classified under inverts???????
i do have a 10 gallon tank with some extra crsuhed
coral to set another tank up, does that have to sit and establish??????
and also, all the fish look sick and have ick, there aint no healthy ones to put in a rescue tank. the only healthy ones are the star fish, urchin, anemonie, and the shrimp. oh and the hawk fish is also doing well.
i think im going to be a very big headache for you's!!!!!!!! sorry guess i should of found this web site before i started.
