my fish tank temp to high

hello i live in sydney aus today is a really hot day it is 110Fahrenheit i tested my water temp and it tested out to 88Fahrenheit is this far to hot ?

Yes it is too hot, but your fish will survive 88 for a day or two...
I would recommend running the air conditioner in whatever room that Tank is in mate!

You can also blow a fan across the top of the water. This will add some evaporative cooling. Not sure how much it will get your tank down though if the ambient temp is 110 degrees. In your situation you might need to look into a room air conditioner or a chiller for the tank.

Keep in mind that the idea is to increase evaporation. I say this because a lot of hobbiests try to cool the water by blowing the heat away from the light bulbs and that will not make a sgnificant difference. To cool the water, blow air across the water surface.
