Offer it some spirulina flake and algae strips (nori). Clowns get a lot of nutrition from algae in the wild and most take to it very well. Keep up with the brine on occassion. Things like Marine Cuisine and Emerald Entree are also good. You can also try pellets. Usually, clowns are not too hard to feed and once settled will eat just about anything. Give it a few days to settle in.

O ok cause my dad and sis were freaking out that it wasn't eating everything we tried to give to him and i love this fish so much its like 4 1/2 inches big and beautiful <3 i have a lot of brine shrimp on hand and marine algae along with pellets and flake food to give him

Be sure to mix up the diet to include several different foods. Brine and flakes are okay for an occassional meal but ideally the fish should have a good balance of algae and meaty foods.

2 days is way to early to "freak out" about a fish not eating. Keep feeding the brine ship and work in some variety. It could take a month or more so don't panic. The last thing you want to do is is overload your tank with uneaten food. If he's (or she) eating brine shrimp after only 2 days (it's not unheard of for fish not to eat for a couple of weeks), you should have no problem getting it to eat a variety of foods eventually

my kole tang went on an eating strike of 3 weeks....

i learned that fish are very adaptable to whatever situation....given the right circumstances

try mixing the foods he wont eat with the foods he will, and gradually ween him off of the steady diet of brine shrimp and more to a variety of other foods.

Do you have an anenome? Because I had a maroon clown once and the first thing it did when i put it in my DT was run to the anenome and would not come out to eat for about 3 or 4 days, eventually it did it, I used pellet food and tried to get it to drop right infront of its nose so it would see the food.
Did u quarantine the clown? I would strongly recommend quarantining all new fish(in a cycled QT) even if they appear healthy coz they don't have to compete for food, sometimes they even appear to not know that the stuff your giving them is actually eatable. It also gives u a chance to experiment more with different types of food and not have to worry about all that uneaten food fouling the water coz watever doesn't get eaten u can just take out and throw away. I've lost afew fish in the past coz they refused to eat but usually coz they hide in the LR when I'm feeding and by the time they come out all the foods gone.
Could the clown be afraid of you? Try feeding then spying on it, maybe it's afraid to eat while u r watching. My Black neon damzel did that for the first week or 2 while I had it in the QT.
Hope this helps
