That's what I have on my tank now. It seems to be working out fine. I figure if it works for the ocean, it will work for me.

Problem with beach sand is thats were all the toxins wash up. Really not a good idea to use it. As far as the price I think you could do better.

NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

Don't even think about dealing with glass cages. They will deliver the tank to a location in your area and leave it up to you to get it home. If you have problems they will never return your e-mails or calls. Their product is simply inferior to other companies out there. Take a look at this...

Then here is my new tank for a few more bucks. (nothing compared to the cost of the livestock.)

Do I seem a little bitter? Loosing $ thousands of dollars because of a crappy tank will do that to ya!

i don't think so....I think is way 2 expensive. I just bought a 135gl for $200.00 and now I am gonna get one 100gl today with stand and canopy for $150.00 to put in my office. I think is way 2 expensive, and hope you heard the problems that Yeffre had to go through with that company. That's the reason I love saltwater fish forums, we are all here to help each other

Thank you so much for your post. Sorry to hear about what happened to you. I guess I'll have to find somewhere else to get it. I can build a stand and canopy so that is not really a big deal but I need to find somewhere to get a tank. Anyone know a place that delivers? Thanks for the help on talking me out of getting my tank.

Check out your LFS. If their decent they'll have or know guys that can deliver it and help you set it up if you like. Just check the warranty over very carefully and talk to the store about their waranty if you purchase it from them.
If you want to spend the $$$ you can go to a custom builder who should take care of everything for you.

I don't know where your from, but other reefers in your area should be able to recomend a reputable dealer.
