I have a CSL ABS hood on my 65 tank 2-96 watt 7100k actinic and 2-96 watt 6700k ultra daylight.
I was wondering what everyone opionion on using 10,000k day light bulbs. I have a clam and some Xenias all are doing great, but I'd like to get a LTA to add to my tank. Do you think that the 10,000 bulbs will help?

I don't know if it would help with an LTA, but I use 2 10K and 2 actinics on my tank and I love it. Only difference is that I have VHO. All corals doing great.

I curently run 4x65 watt csl pc's(10 k's)...before Ive run the smart lamps and combos...but I prefer the effect of the 10'ks....I run 2x110 watt vho's(actinics)...I'd say go with the 10k's but you may need to suppliment with some type of actinic. I keep a growing combination of corals(recently started adding montipora and sps frags)...and I'm in the market for a clam....to date the combination of the 10k's and vho's have been effective for my system.
