Where was everything?
For instance did you grab the magnet with one hand and where was the other? Where were your feet?
Are there any fans attached to your hood where the magnet was?
Was there any salt creep?

The magnet was about 3 inches from the light. The light doesnt have a fan.My feet were on my wood floor and my other hand was along my side.My wife said that she recieved a shock earlier that day.She was moving something with the net and then she said she recieved a shock.Im a electrcian so i tested the water for voltage and didnt get any readings. Is this static shock?

How did you test the voltage...?
The corrct way is to put one probe in the water and the other to the ground on a receptical..?

Thats because your way is the correct way. Your not going to pick up stray voltage by putting both probes into the water. One has to be to ground, because you are looking for a ground that the voltage has found to get in.

I'm thinking maybe he used an Inductance meter...but that won't work...
Till he sticks his hand in and grounds the tank...
