My Mushrooms Wont Grow :(

I have many mushrooms varying in color and size. The problem is that they haven't changed in size at all since originally purchased 4-6 months ago. At first I was unaware that they required regular dosing of iodine, but have since remedied that for the last 2 months or so. I have 3 watts per gallon in my nano and 4 watts per gallon in my 125 gallon, which my local marine store says is sufficient. I have been feeding them Phytofeast from the beginning but have just read in saltwaterfish.com's website that they need marine snow. They look healthy, but just won't get any bigger. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions to help my mushrooms grow.

Can we get more specifics on the light? What type of lighting are you using? How close to the surface are the shrooms?
If they get to much light they will not grow, aquatic mushrooms are like normal mushrooms, the darker they're kept the bigger they get.

mushrooms dont require regular dosing of iodine, you should maintain NSW levels of iodine. the dosing should be dictated by your test results for iodine. blind dosing is dangerous to other things in your tank.

Yes you should get an iodine test kit. I use one and find that my iodine stays pretty much constant for weeks and then suddenly it drops... like it's only consumed in spurts. I end up dosing maybe 1 cap of iodine every 3 weeks or so. The NSW concentration of iodine should be 0.6 mg/l.
