my mushrooms??

for some reason my mushrooms dont "bloom" like they did in the store. Its possible that its my water quality... any other possibilites???what should i do?

How long have you had them? and what is your lighting?

i got 150 watts of PC... and they are sitting near the top of the tank.. one of the rocks is a few months old... and one is brand new

Some mushrooms seem to like lower lighting better. I have some blue ones that when I put on PC lighting they did not open nearly as big as with NO lighting. The ones that are sort of in the shade open 4 -6 times larger than those directly under the lights. How does the light compare to where they came from?

Some types do seem to prefer lower lighting..I've also come to believe they do best in low or moderate currents. basically I let mine pic the spot they prefer...then try to keep them from growing into places I don't want them.
This past Sunday I gave my nephew a few bullseye 'shrooms for him to try under 70 watts of NO lighting....there were several that had sprouted on a snail shell...already they've opened up and seem to be adjusting well.
