hey, decided to post these pictures here as well. i had these posted in the "reef" section a week ago. i finally fragged one of my blue mushrooms today. i just sliced it in half because i didn't want to stress it too much.
so far so good. last time i checked one half was inflated and expanding already. if all goes well, i'll frag my pink, and green & blue stripes too. The xenia will be next after that. wish me luck guys!
oh yeah, howcome i can't post bigger pictures? i see some threads with really big pictures.

when you fragged your shroom did you just slice it down the middle and leave both halves attached to the rock?

The really big photos are done by adding them to photobucket.com and then putting in the hyperlink. Shows the pic but doesn't requre SWF.com to host the pic. Looks really nice. What size and what lighting?

debbie - those are green star polyps. It looks kinda yellow sometimes depending on where you place it in your tank hough. Becareful of where you place it because it spreads like crazy and will cover everything in its path!!!
If you want, you can frag a piece and glue it to your back wall and it'll spread and cover it up. that's if you like it though.

That is what I have then, my lfs gave me a piece of rock with some on it. Very pretty I think, I will have to watch it.
How would you attach it to your glass??

it's easy debbie.
since you only have a small frag of it, i suggest you stick it in between some rocks first. As long as the purple mat is touching another rock, it'll eventually creep over and start growing and spreading. This way you'll have more to work with first.
If you want it on your back wall, you can just lean the piece you have already againts the wall and it'll creep over eventually.
Or if you want, you can just pull a chunk of the purple mat off your rock and glue it on the wall with superglue "gel". this is the same superglue you use everday. it's safe and won't affect your water. make sure you get the edges of the mat down though. If you do this, the star polyps will be stressed, it'll eventually open up again in time though.
This is how you frag it...or at least how i did it.
