Absoulutely!!!! I thank you Ophiura for your patience and willing to help and chat. I have stuck my foot in my mouth many a time on this forum, and I apreciate that you're always willing to leave mistakes in the past.

Watson?
I rode a bike because I couldn't afford a car and I paid my own way through college.
It was stolen from the second floor balcony of my apartment complex...ie....I appreciated the bike.
Information to show I didn't have a silver spoon in my mouth or a handout from parents.....Ms. Rykna's nephew might need to see what true college life is like....like ophiuria said too.
I just don't see why a comment would be made in this thread about not sending children to my college town.....Makes no sense to me. Bikes get stolen everywhere.
I don't know, I just don't get it.
My apologies.
Rykna--when is the first cooking class?

Well the first cooking class was today. At 5pm today class opened: subject, hamburgers and veggies. I lead him through the whole process. Thaw the meat, season the meat, make the patties, etc. He did all the cooking. Hamburgers turned out great....Not bad for a first family dinner.
I think for tomorrow night I'll have him make a casserole.

My husband is great with grilling, maybe he would like to grill chicken or something. Chicken is cheap, and just throw on diffrent seasonings for a diffrent taste. Also, you can mix almost anything with rice, and it taste good.

Mine was never returned. It was a piece of junk, but it was MY junk and it was a lot better than having to hoof it everywhere!
Mmmmm, a hamburger sounds good.
Casseroles are the BOMB--hard to mess those up!
Maybe a 'Eating for Dummies' book would be fun too.

Sorry, I can't loan the "wand" to you, but you're welcome to come visit "it". My Mom loves to cook for everyone!!!! You can't even take your coat off before she asks you if you're hungry, without waiting for a response she proceeds to list of a variety of cookies, breads, pies....you name it.

Course now that I'm married and such the "wand" works much better for my daughter!!!! Grandma makes all sorts of goodies for Aria!!!

Eating for dummies!!!! Poor kid, my nephew would never live that down...my brother keeps teasing him from time to time about the 2 pizzas he burnt because he didn't take the cardboard off before putting them into the oven. He almost caught the oven on fire.

My mom too! She's always trying to stuff us with food whenever someone visits!
There always has to be a cookie jar full of treats, or a cake or something.
I'm going to Google a 'cooking wand' and see if I can get one!
Tonight I had frozen green beans, pasta, garlic toast, and an orange.
Didn't really have to MAKE any of it.....
Granted, not cooking, but I am the master of the microwave!
Did you grow up in MN? I grew up in WI.....

OK, I'll confess one dumb thing:
I moved from the midwest to the southwest for school.
My 'exposure' to mexican food was Taco Bell!
Well, one day at the cafeteria, they were serving tamales. I thought "When in Rome..."
So I had those for lunch.
Went to a table, ate lunch, went back to the dorm and started reading.
(BTW, my bike hadn't been stolen yet---hahahahaha)
I got SICK and was SICK for 3 days!
Moral of the story--take the dang corn husk off the tamale before you eat it!

maybe you could get him a personalized cooking apron/chef's hat with "King of Pizza" on it
And then in very small lettering you could add 'cardboard'

Poor guy---I certainly don't mean to hive him a hard time....I'm sure he's a good kid---just don't want a future girlfriend/wife to harrass him later! It's GOOD that you're helping him!

Oh my gosh!!!! Me too!!! Good old WI!!! My parent's have a hobby farm by the little tiny town of Viroqua. Man I miss the country! I would trade the cities in a second for 5 acres of peace, and no neighbors veiwing you bedroom!!! Not to mention all the fun a kid can have playing in the woods!!!

1..Was that your bike got stolen..Unfortunate
2..That you have been through college yet you still wrote "it got stolen"
