My new 55 Tank

I have just set up my 55 tank with the Eheim 2224 and i am about to invest my tank with a protein skimmer. i need some "Words of Wisdow" from all of "yous". What type of Fish should i buy? How many should i buy? and i also wanted to buy live rock! What do you think?
( And i "KINDA" understand the less the better. Right?)
Please help Me out
I'm going with a fish only tank!

You really need to decide if you are going fish only or reef. Then if you go fish only you have to decide if you want a community tank or aggressive. Tell us what YOU want and we will do our best to advise you what will work and what won't.

Would you all recommend a uv ster?
I currently have a ehiem and a proclone protein skimmer is it nec? I also have a 15 high hospital tank!
