for the past three weeks ive been on here getting a lot of information, and setting up my first 55g saltwater tank! It is finally finished cycyling. Yesterday I went to the only LFS i know of (and actually just heard of yesterday) and brought myself a cuc of 2 hermits and 5 snails. I also bought some more live rock and one large piece of base. I added some coral that was dead from the Caribbean as an accent piece. My first piece of live rock came with 2 little crabs which i think only one survived the cycle.
So next week im going to go back to the LFS (it was absolutly immaculate and the guy was veryyy knowledgeable) and get 2 Ocellaris Clowns!
how does it look so far? I know I need more rock.

I think It looks good! Personally I would take what you have for rock and use the tonga as a support and make a cave or 2 for fish to swim through/hide ect...But yeah looks great!

tonga is like branch rock, I think she is referring to the white branch piece you have on the right middle side

I don't think it looks big enough to support it,you have some medium size pieces in there. I would just make a cave with live rock. like do 3 bottom support pieces then place one on top. somethin like that, if you plan on getting more live rock then I would just wait and add caves as you add the rock.
good start btw

I don't know how big it is or long? I can only see a bit of it sticking out from behind the rocks but if it's not strong enough
Just play around a little bit with it, Put the lightest piece on to
of branch or don't use branch for support at all ."It's up to you"
Aquascaping is the fun part and it's what "You like" that matters most. Me> I always try to find a happy medium in what I think looks good and "how many hiding spots I can get out of the little bit of Live Rock I have" to keep my fish happy.
But tank looks great! now you can look forward to adding your first addition which is the best part.

Take Care,Welcome!

Becareful adding LR and fish to a newly set up tank. Anything that you add will alter the set up.
Lr can have die off and raise ammo, trite levels. IMO add rock and monitor for a couple of days before fish.
I am guessing no QT/HT. So to be safe wait one more week.

Great looking tank, the journey has just started, take it one step at a time and you will enjoy the trip a lot more.
