Looks like your measurements were alittle off - Did you plan on it fitting in that area recessed or out like the picture shows with the tank on it?

did you paint the wall behind the tank instead the tank itself? Thats something I have never seen before if thats what you did

hi and thanks for your replies, the size of the tank is 280gal 8 x 2x2 1/2, the tank does fit in the back wall , is just that i pulled it out to paint the rear and sides of the tank,
and the back wall has water proof fibro cement sheets (splash back) wich i coated with black paint. ill be drilling the tank on friday so ill post some pics when the plumming goes in.thanks again (rick)

Ricks, did you build the stand? If so, what size lumber did you use?
2x4, 2x6,
4x4 legs?
I've got to build a stand for a 180. Just curious.

biil, sorry that im a bit late on the reply, have been flat out with the tank, however regading the timber that i used has been 90mmX 35mm the rear and sides of the frame(stand) i cut fibro cement sheets that are water proof and than i just painted them black.
with the frame it self , it has all the timber running flush with the floor to distribute the weight. i filled the tank with water 2 days ago to make sure of water leeks etc, and its all good. hope this helps. post some pics of your project :happy: (rick)

NICE! :joy: I can't wait till I get a monster like that. Where did u find it? LFS around here don't really have that big of tanks and if they do they have ugly stands to go with them.
