The red stuff looks like a little red slime cynobacteria to me.
Not bad - but you may want to increase water circulation down there if you can - without stirring up the live sandbed.
Watch your nitrates and don't over feed.
Is that a Fender Stratocaster guitar ?
I love the pic of your camera - I see you in the mirror reflection :)
Your workspace - ummmmm .......... nevermind
Thanks for sharing - like the macro's and clown. How's the Flame doing in that tank ?
Enjoy your new camera.

thanks for the posts, as for the guitar, its just a crappy yamaha, dont ever get yamaha guitars, what a piece of crap doesnt sound or feel good....
man the alge, i stirred up the sand the other night, after coming home today from school, its back but even worse!!! it has bubbles on one piece of rock =( yeah my dad has been putting alot of frozen brine in there =
i had my tank since july, i moved the stuff from the hex to the tank you see now, if you have a hex and this is my opinion =O, its diffcult to try to get a good look at the tank since its bent on the sides, it just made me fustrated trying to relax and watch my fish >=
The flame which i just put in on sunday is doing well, better than the coral beauty i previously had but died since the anomie died and killed it off. its not shy when im not near the tank, but when im near it goes hiding 8^)

The open brains are LPS larg polyp stony type of coral.
I kept mine in a 30 gallon long with 96 watts Smartlite for a year.
It did fine under that lighting on the bottom of tank.
I've had the red one for 2 years.
I just got a real small 3"x1-1/2" greenish/pink one the other day.
I hope it does as well - so far so good.
You must feed them as well. Silversides, shrimp, meaty foods.
Never kept one in a 15. If you water conditions are good, you could try a smaller one.
I use Microsoft Front Page for site.
I play guitar - Alverez & Yamaha & Fender.
