thanks. it isnt real stained glass. its a sheet of plexi that i used "gallery-glass" paint and fake lead strips on. very quick, cheap, and easy to do. i did the side-lite on our front door a couple of years ago with the same stuff.

my fixture sits on top of the "legs" on either end that keep the canopy on top of the tank. whenever i need to reach into the tank all i have to do is slide the fixture back since the back of the canopy is 100% open. the last pic is of the fixture sitting on the "legs."

OK, I see that now. Great way of doing it. What kind of lights do you have?

Can you give me a hint as to who you purchased them from. So this fixture is all T5s, no MH?

Thanks, have you found anything you can't keep with these lights, like anemones and clams?

i dont have any anemones in my tank due to space issues, but as far as limitations go, i dont have any.

Wango tango...very beautiful job...I'm getting an aquatinics 72" constellation fixture for my new 150? reef tank....they were all on back order, but the word is they are beginning to send them out this week...glad to hear you are happy with yours. can you do a close shot of how you rigged it inside the canopy...I think in the one pic you just screwed in an extra piece of wood on the two inside sides and have it sitting on them? is this ok? any supports in the middle of the light fixture?
