you're in luck. you don't actually have a dot-dash butterfly, Chaetodon pelewensis. you have a similar-looking, but much hardier, punctato butterfly, Chaetodon punctatofasciatus . dot dash bfs have oblique strips.

is the punctato butterfly better and more expensive or what? i know the dot dash says monitor with corals is this the same?

the punctato is much more likely to live in captivity. they should be about the same price, and they should both not be reef safe.
