My new grandson

This is happy...BUT SAD
This is my new grandson....he was born yesterday....7 lbs 13oz 19.5" long HEALTHY

My daughter and I are not speaking at the moment....:( this has been a long ordeal :(
Maybe one day this will change. BUT for now...it is what it is....:(
My eldest daughter keeps me informed, and has been sending me pics

I don't know you, and you don't know me...but from someone that is estranged from large part of my family, do whatever you have to to get past this....we are not guaranteed a tomorrow, don't allow yourself to live with any regret. I have no idea what came between the two of you, but know that in order for things to get better, someone has to take the first step...
I know that it sucks to be the person to take that first step (because I always see it as me admitting that I am wrong)...but be genuine and get past it (not get over it...that may never happen), but don't allow yourself (or your grandson) to miss anything...if she won't have anything to do with it, at least you know that you tried...that is all that you can do.
I genuinely hope that things work out and that your relationship gets patched up.

WELL.....I met my grandson today...My daughter called and brought him to where I work (neutral ground I guess) we spent an hour talking and I held him.....I think we still have a lot to work out in our relationship though
BUT this was a step :)

That's good! It may take some time but it definitely sounds like it's heading in the right direction. You have a little cutie for a grandson. :)

Congratulations, beautiful baby boy!...Sorry to hear about your daughter, hope things get better.
I just read the first post....after posting I saw the rest...things are looking up
