Didnt know how to hang them exactly.. so went to home depot and spent about 15 bucks on stuff.. and used my ex wifes hair thing to hold the cords together.. I new she would be good for something one day.
I work 3rd shift so I run them at night
I will take some pics with them on tonight.. They are replacing 400w of PC lighting.. They are coralife
I got them used but seem to be in perfect working order!
I just called the guy I got them off of and he was like.. it was either I cleaned them up or mailed them out that day.. so I mailed them out.. They look better now cleaned I shouldve done that b4 I took pics huh
I never had MH before.. When i first hooked them up I was like wow these are not all that bright.. then I left it running and took a shower.. then I came back and looked directly into it and seen spots for awhile
ahh I can do that.. They are high atm.. I still have my PC hood on I am going to start it out with the PC hood tonight.. take it off for about a hour and then put it back on to help acclimate
this may not mean much or you might not care but i just want to point out that those hanging bell pendents are not that good at reflecting light.. they work but you can get a lot more out of your light... look up 'spider reflector' or 'Lumenarc'
looks like your tank is gonna look like a stadium tho...

Beat me to it. Yes when your all situated and tank is aclimated its going to be beautiful Scoobs.
What size is your PC fixture? You know I am in constant vulture mode.......
no, i've always thought that PC's created a much brighter viewing experience, but MH put out a whole different kind of light that is less visible to us, but ultimately brighter.
No not at all. But MH do brighten the tank to look absolutley
