My New huge snail

i really don't. i have all big rocks in my tank but he mainly cruises on the glass. he hasn't found my gsp or my rics yet. but he did find my fuzzy mushroom on its own rock and manage to turn it over.

I had one die to a powerhead.. This guy walks over the powerhead.. and the thing stops running....

same here i thought it was funny cause i watched him do it last night, the hydro flo couldn't rotate completely. i am sure he felt fat.

great this was the smaller of my two about the size of my fist, the only problem is they are nocturnal cleaners but awwesome nonetheless

holy crap thats a reef wrecker if I have ever seen one, Probably safe from the predation of hermit crabs looking for a shell though...

Disagree. It's either quality(size) or quanity. Which would be cheaper? 10astrea or one huge turbo?

Those we call black & white zebra turbos. They are from Belize. They get absolutely huge, and will cruise together if you have two.. but there is a danger with them. I had two giant ones as my only two snails in a semi aggressive tank. They were good, because no predator could knock them down, and they only came out at night when the fish were asleep.One day the water starting pouring over all 4 sides of the tank, one of them had climbed into the overflow and attached itself to the durso. After that I had to put up gutterguard as a snail fence to keep them out of the overflow...
