Well I'm not giving them back, they won't give me any money back and I think I'm giving them a better home anyway but thanks for the help.

you probably are giving them a better home. 9 times out of 10 when we buy livestock from the LFS we are giving it a better life/chance.

Not all of us can afford to give these creatures a temp better home. That would get spendy.
Anyways let us know how things progress.

The reason they can't be kept in box aquariums is because they will keep hitting their bodies against the walls and eventually fall apart. Kreisel tanks (circular and/or oval tanks) are built so that jellyfish NEVER touch the walls so that they are constantly moving and not touching the walls/sides. Anyways, they might live up to a week, maybe more, maybe less in a rectangular tank. But they defiantly won't live for very long in a rectangular tank.

either offer information to help or dont post. I relize they need kriesel tanks now, once again, thank you. So far they are looking alright to me but is there anything else I can do at this point except feed them once a day?
If anyone has anything HELPFUL to say than I would appreciate it. If not, get lost.

Could you post a pic of these guys. The only ones I've seen are the upside downs, yours sound pretty cool looking.

There is really nothing els you can do at that point. Feed them, don't forget to keep the water quality up as jellyfish need pristine water. IMO, while they are doing good as you say, make a DIY kriesel tank! Its not THAT hard to build one, google and there are several DIY plans that are pretty easy. It may look a little ghetto lol, but at least its much better than a rectangular tank.

Yup it's those. How's a five gallon bucket for now?
I'd post pics nut I only have them on my bb. Does anyone know how to post pics from it?

Those "Jelly tanks" Look very similar to BIO Orbs that they sell at Pet stores. I got one for my daugthers Glo fish. I think they might actually work pretty well in this case, If you can find a BIG one like the 16 or the 36 gallons. would a cylinder tank work? they also make something called the Bio ube that is cylinder shaped.
On another note..why do LFS get stuff in that really doesnt have a chance to live very long? It really kinda peeves me. Id really like to believe that theres something more than, someone sees a creature that is really cool and forks over money, the LFS (not all of them mind you) could care less cause they got their cash, while the poor creatures future is meak to say the least...and the customer who paid good money is left in a panic trying to save the poor thing.
I find the whole thing very frustrating.
At any rate...I hope things turn out for the best. Good luck to you and your jellys.

The purpose of a kriesel tank is not just the corners, it also has a specialized type of flow. You don't keep jellyfish in tanks with high flow or bubbles as shown in that desktop tank (and definitely not with gravel or any rocks!)
They really are highly specialized animals and as a general rule will not survive long term in our standard tanks with standard filtration. If they get sucked onto a powerhead or intake they are goners...if they get in the flow of the return and knocked against a wall, in time, they are goners. I damaged many a jelly just by trying to clean algae, or siphon a bit, in a proper tank...
While I appreciate that they might have a better life for a short while, i also do maintain that buying these animals just proves to the store that there is a market, and so more are doomed :( As hard as it is, sometimes it is best to leave these animals to die in the hands of the LFS, so they are discouraged from buying more.

Best of luck in trying this. Keep your parameters absolutely pristine.
