Very nice!!! I was looking for a similar set up. What were you running before? What brand are the new ones? What kind of livestock will they support? I'm so confused!

Tim - previously (the light in the first pic) I was just running a NO (normal output) flourescent light. It was 40 watts I believe. The first post lists the specifics of the first light strip and it is made by CoraLife.
As far as livestock, I should be able to keep most soft corals, but not likely any hard corals or clams. If you are certain you want those you should invest in MH (metal hallide).
If you are close to buying, I was directed to the famous auction site to find the best price.

I actually was looking at the odyssea (aution site). Same output 4x65 50/50.
I think I'm gonna get it b/c of buget restraints. I also have an NO system. 2 shop lights w/ 2 40 daylight 2 actinic. The ballisits are going. They go off and on at will. Replacement lights are going to cost as much as the new one not to mention the ballists (good story for the wife Right!) I think I'll notice a difference with the added 80watts and better light.
Not ready for a full on reef. YET!

Tim - Just make sure the actinic are a true blue. One company, Jebo I believe (but could be wrong), advertises blue lights that are actually just a bulb painted blue. I've heard of others purchasing that hood, then replacing the fake actinics for true actinics. I didn't price it out, but that might be cheaper.
