Well i am one happy guy right now!
I just bought my Power compact/Moonlight system today!
The PC's are one ultra actinic 65w
and one 10,000k daylight 65w
It has a full time moonlight system that uses led's (white) and it also comes with a cooling fan built in.
I got it for a reasonable price of around 230.

cool. I was so happy when i got these.
I walked into the LFS and they have a big glass case with the ballasts in it. I found one that said ez ballast, and i thought it said VHO for two bulbs. Unfortunately not. It was 63 dollars. I thought wow VHO dual ballast for that cheap!
I bought bulbs, the total came to about 130 and i took it home. To my dismay the ballast wasnt vho so i ended up taking it back. I went the extra mile and paid a hundred more for the dual pc and light fixture. Pretty good deal if you ask me.

Know what I use for moon light? A flourescent bulb coleman lantern. I have an inwall so I can hang it in back and turn it on with all other lights off. It looks very cool with the waves of the filters and powerheads going. The ripples are reflected off the sand on the bottom.

cool. I want just some mushrooms and other low light corals, not really a reef tank. More of a FOWLR with shrooms.

yea i would go with soft corals that need less light....but just for an extra challenge Montipora and a few ACropora have been grown under PC's! so u could try that once u feel ur up for it

i have one of those light just love it matter of fact i just sent away for another one tell you one thing though i have a 120 and i have that 36 inch light one one side and i have 2 10,000 light on the other side with a 50/50 antic with the 2 10,000 lights and the side with my new compact light is now full of alge have to clean that side of the tank daily so the light is strong thats forsure.

i dont suggest you get any SPS... they will not flourish.. they will turn brown and halt growth under inadequate lighting
for a FOWLR with shrooms... you should be ok

I have the CS 65 watt Smartlite on my 28 gal tank. I have a small hammer LPS that I bought on sale because it was half dead. Since then it has almost doubled in size.

how long has the bubble been recuperating?

I've had the bubble about 3 months. It is the bulb that came with the fixture. CS advertises it as a new bulb that puts out 200% more light that other 65 watt fixtures. Any truth to this? If not, who makes the best power compact bulbs?
