My new orange plate ate a shrimp pellet.

My lfs told me it would eat plankton, so i was suprised when a shrimp pellet fell on its mouth and it opened wide and took it in! Looked cool, here.s a pic soon after he ate it, you can see his middle is fat. Any ideas what else it might eat?

< - guilty of feeding my tank shrimp pellets. But if you read the ingredients they contain Phosphates... = potential trouble
correct me if I am wrong please

Well yes its true, but surprisingly enough, most foods, be it frozen or dried contain some amount of phosphate in them. I don't really think it something you should worry about. Overfeeding is a much greater problem than feeding shrimp pellets. The only way to ensure you have phosphate free(at least as free as possible) is to make your own food with ro/di water and blended/chopped up seafood.
