Good idea to see them eat. My first Majestic angelfish would not eat hardly at all....it passed away after 5 or 6 weeks. I was heart broken. I read after I got him that some of them never take to eating in captivity, especially the larger ones. They say that they eat a lot of sponges in the wild. I am not sure that he had not been caught with cyanide as some books claim that it damages their digestive system so that they will not eat and slowly starve. I gave him frozen sponge, seaweed, live brine, frozen krill, and he would only peck at it a little. I swore that I would never get another Majestic, but really did not want any other large fish instead. Last week I was at one of the LFS and saw a slightly smaller Majestic of about 4 inches. As a chance I asked the guy to feed him. He ate flake food! My other one never touched flake food. He looked like he didn't even know what it was. Well, I brought Loushou #2 home and he is eating just fine. I hope that I can keep this one alive! Your angel is really beautiful. Hope it does well. I love saltwater angelfish. In my 90 gallon I have the Majestic, a flame angel, and a lemonpeel angel along with a fairy wrasse, a sixline wrasse and a bicolor blenny. It's a really colorful group. Lesley
