My new Propagation system

Hey ya'll
I have been gathering all the stuff to build a prop system for awhile now and this weekend the custom tank finally came in. We just finished setting it up. I did not take any building pics because IMO it is all really self explanatory.
Here is the tanks info
Tank= 50x24x12 Euro Braced for easy access
Lighting= 2x150MH 2x130pc Outer Orbit
Pump= Mag 18
Over flow = 1 3/4" drain
Return= 1 inch with loclines
Everything is plumbed into our main 140 system. I have everything on union gate valves so that i can separate the entire system if i every want to. I built the frame out of 2x4’s and will be encasing it in oak later this week. We stained it tonight so are waiting for everything to dry. I built the frag stands out of egg grate and PVC pipe. We build a system in which I can make new levels at any height without taking anything apart you can only see the bottom level in the pics but when I transfer all the coral to this tank I will take more pics with all the racks. The system will house everything from Shrooms to SPS.
the entire system is cooled with a 1/2HP chiller by aqua logic
Anyhow just thought I would share my newest addition. As you can see i got impatiant and already put in a few pieces.

Yes it is. In most casaes prop system are bare bottom for ease of cleaning however in this case since our systems are all plumbed together I chose to use live sand.
I did this for a few reasons. The biggest reason was for cosmetics. Since this is in our fish room I wanted it to look nice as well. it also prvides a cusion for any droped rocks. I dont want a large rock dropping off the top rack and hitting nothing but glass. I'm sure it would be fine but I dont want to find out. I also liked the added life I can have in the prop tank because of the sand. With all the addeded water the additional filtration the sand will provided and bufferingp will be very welcomed. I can get very nice live pure araganite for less then 1.00 per pound so the cost was not very much.

Very, very impressive. I feel like I should be charged for admission to look at your pictures of your zoanthids.

hmmm not sure i understand your question. if you are refering to the lip around the top of my tank that is euro bracing. its just a way to keep the tank strong without having a centerbrace. in short they make a 6 sided box and cut the center out of one side. it makes for a very strong tank. most any tank builder offers this as an upgrade for an additional cost
as for jumpers well its a full on open tank so fish would have no problem taking a leap. the tank is for propagation not fish. i do have some clowns in there however jumping is not a big issue with clowns. the tank is Glass

that is the euro bracing i talked about above. that 3" glass lip is attached. it is a part of the tank. basicaly they put a top on the tank and then cut out the center. this is how i get away without having a center brace. IMO it looks alot nicer, makes the tank alot stronger, and is alot easier to work in.
the black part is just a plastic ring to finish off for cosmetics. without it it just glass edged and silicon
