That looks great, i wonder how i can get that for my bowfront, i already cant find a hood that fits it right to even cut the middle out of :notsure:
Also, it would probably cut down on the odds of a jumper
Thanks for the help and quick responses

the only thing you can do now is remove the plastic ring and center brace that goes around your tank now.DO NOT REMOVE THIS WHEN FILLLED WITH WATER!!
Get a big piece of glass, lay it on top and trace out lines to cut it up and make it fit the top of your tank. then cut out the centerleaving around a 2-3 inch lip. Silicon it to the tank and fill it back up with water. A cheaper way to do it where you wont need so much glass is you can just silicon glass in the corners and lay cut strips around the edges.
as for jumpers is wont do a whole lot in the way of prevention

How much evaporation are you getting from this tank? Do you have a top off system setup somewhere in your system?

quite a bit.
between the display tank and the propagation tank we use a total of 1500 watts of MH and and 480 watts of VHO.
I go through approx 6 gallons of water every 2-3 days. so about 40+ gallons a month.
take that plus the water i remove every day for shipments and i go through around 90 gallons a month

got a killer deal on the big E. won it for only 500.00 it was only used for about two weeks. the guy sent me the receipt and everything. even sent me a brand new set of hamelton 14k bulbs he had purchased to replace the ten k bulbs. Said something about money trouble and was not gonig to be able to set up the tank he was building. sad for him but killer for me lol.
It is in mint condition just as if i bought it from the store myself.

you should make another tank thats like 72x72x12. that shoud take a while to fill up woth coral. :hilarious

That is absolutly amazing. so does this mean all the coral frags that ised to be in your sand are no longer there??

yes thats why i did this. drove me nuts always messing in the display tank. always messing it up and made it look crowded
as for a 6x6x12 tank i bet i would fill it in less then6 months. lol for the most part if i have room i runn out and buy as many corals as i can fit in lol

Oceana, nice set up. I wish I could convince the wife to do somethig that size. Do you frag any toadstools? And if you do how do you get them to say on the rocks. I had to frag mine and I used netting but they did not say.
