My new Red & Black Sea Star

Thank you SchweetPup4u! I got it from my LFS The Aquarium Center ( http://www.aquariumcenter.com/ ) near Baltimore, Maryland! It is Florida Aqua-cultured and I bought it pre-boxed but they opened it up so I could take a look and it was nice so I went with it. They sell the same stuff in an open tank so you can pick your pieces as well. Here is another link with some info on Fla. Aqua-cultured rock! http://www.garf.org/2nd.html I highly endorse it!!! I have been dosing Kent Marine Tech CB part A & B (calcium buffer) and Kent Molbdenum & Strontium since I added the LR. The piece that the star is leaning on and the one in the lower right corner are actually base rock that pink and green corraline has grown on.

He should be reef safe. Lots and lots of LR, and avoid adding another for best success!!! How long did you acclimate him for? Nice looking!

SchweetPup4u,
I haven't bought from them but I have heard good things from those that have. Good luck if you go that route!

Thank you very much for all of your information and insight! You seem to be the resident Starfish Guru and I really appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions in detail!
Happy Holidays to all!

How is the big reef display looking at Aquarium Center. I haven't been there for almost 2 years...I would think it is awesome by now.

Hi Richard,
It looks good! The last time I was in there they had a few little Stars sticking to the glass! They have a couple nice display tanks!
