My new skimmer stinks LOL

Well I had to post this. It is getting warmer up here in Canada. Today came home from work, checked out the tanks walk around in the living room and eeeww. I could smell the stuff in my skimmer cup. The furnace wasn't running so no air circulation. The cup was only a 1/4 full, had to clean it out - the most disgusting smell, have to get something to plug my nose. My new stand that hold the sump with the SWC cone skimmer has no doors yet. Got a get going on that.

LOL...bet you never smelled anything so stinky that actually smelled so good

whenever I clean the ginormous cup off the Hurricone I have to hold my breath too HAHA

I know but I can smell it in the house, will the doors on the sump help you think.

I have doors on mine but the back is open...I smell mine too. I have those jelly air freshener cups to absorb nasty ordors, that helped. I don't use any type of spray stuff because of the tank being open, it's bad for my bird to be exposed to smelly goods but I had to do something.
