What are your nitrates at? The reason why people are telling you to change is that they usually contribute to lower water quality unless you maintain it extremely diligently (vacuum, etc). But if it's workin for you, I see no need to change it.
get rid of the CC and get a DSB. and i would only keeo a yellow tang in a 55g. unless you want your friend to pay for some fighting action at your house:happy:
