im startin a 75 gallon reef, iv gotten a lot of advice on the fish but what about the equiptment. I have a sump, and any advice will help on anything lighting, filters, protien skimmers, heaters anything. Thanx.

What kind of corals are you looking to keep? That will determine what kind of lights you will need.
As for a heater, I would go with a titanium heater of at least 350 watts.
Your filter is your sump. You will need a return pump, and about 100-125 lbs. of live rock. As for a return pump, I would recommend a mag drive 9, as well as 2 to 3 supplementary powerheads for the tank.
As for a skimmer, I always liked ETSS skimmers, Deltec skimmers, and ASM skimmers.

You are almost asking the questions in the correct order. FIRST - decide what fish/inverts/corals you want to keep. Then, decide on equipment necessary to keep those. Your equipment needs will vary considerably, depending on the type of tank (FO, FOWLR, reef, photosynthetic reef, etc).

two or three weeks out on my 75. looking in to sump/refugiums now, any suggestions. Also, thanks for the mag drive 9 recommendation....and skimmers. mine will be fo, maybe fowlr.
