is that compartment on the top the waste collection cup? it looks like water

i was going to ask the same thing why is there a bunch of water in what looks like your collection cup?

You may have had the air valve opened to far when you first started it up,

be carefull with that skimmer it likes to fill cup. I have the 125 skims great, but, it now sits in the sump. After about 5 floods the wife almost booted me and the skimmer out.
