I knew getting a PT job at the LFS would be expensive. The male was there for about a month, we had our daily chats & I fell in luv with him. His new wife came in Fri. night, thats what made it a done deal! Besides, could not pass up for $57.00 for both!!! Heres right before I acclimated...there in there now poppin in and out of the rocks.

Thanks for the compliments. They are the healthiest pair Ive seen (although I rarely see a female in the store). Their still a little skittish, but heres a few pics....2hrs in tank. Male is out female in & out still. His colors have faded since he arrived at the store, so hoping he'll color up nice and pretty again....I swear he wants to talk to me....what a personality!!!

i have seen a few nigers. but never a blue jaw. good luck and watch them. however, you are most likly to get a reef safe one if you get them when they are small.; and it looks like you did jsut that!

What LSF did you get a PT job at! Would love to stop in sometime and say HELLO to a fellow SWF.comer! Do you see any difference with them being a pair? my Fave LFS just got in a small male I wanted! I've had the female since July and she is doing great....Would have to get rid of a few fish...but I love my Female! I'd love the male too! As for them being reef safe...mine hasnt harmed a thing....pepermint shrimp, CBS, she did go after my cleaner shrimp when I first got the new one but now just leaves it alone...and has an awesome personality! Good Luck!

Few triggers are reef safe, and typically if you are going to add them you need to have every vert in your tank that you would ever want in it before you add the triggers because they will think its food. But again they need to be near last and also need to be very young and very small.
from what i've read....but on a side note...i would LOOOOOOOOOVE to have a couple triggers in my tank....i LOOOOOVE THEM SOOOO MUCH

Alimom - Actually, Blue chin & Pink tail are the only reef safe triggers (thats why I got them) Some have had luck with nigers, but I traded mine a year ago - to aggresive to the other fish.
Bret - Im at P*t World on Sample & St Rd7 in Margate. Mon, Fri & Sat night - Full time at BCC in Davie by day.

Never even heard of that one...is it owned by the same people who run the one in the towner shops in Plantation?

Triggers are da bomb.
Blue jaws rock!
I love the way their eyes have so much personality as they rotate to eye something.
